Free: The Which Easy Use PC Guide.
I was on holiday last week in Tenerife and bought a copy of the
Daily Mail (which is not my usual choice of newspaper). Inside
the paper was an advert for a free guide to using a PC, which
has been published by the Which Magazine.
The content includes:
1. How to set up a new PC (and how to connect up all the wiring,
and put on all your old files and settings).
2. Advice on how to store, edit and view your digital photos
3. How to install software for new devices such as printers,
scanners and MP3 players
4. How to prevent access to your computer by hackers, and advice
on how to protect your PC from various other security threats
5. Emails: how to manage them and advice on how to add attachments
& your contact details.
6. Windows Vista at a glance… how to make the most of it.
For your free copy, you can phone 0800 533 002 and quote “EASYPC133”.
If you so wish, you could have it sent you as an email attachment
(in PDF format), you can request an online copy instead. To see a
document in PDF format, you would need to have the Adobe Reader
program on your computer, which you could download free of charge
from the internet (click).
