Sites of general interest …
www.lexilogos.com …which gives extensive etymologies of words in a large
number of languages.
www.timesonline.co.uk. The internet version of the London Times and Sunday
Times, with access to interesting blogs.

Live Search Maps .... similar to Google Earth but much better. Provides vertical
photos, birdseye photos and very clear maps of all areas.

www.picturethepast.org.uk … it shows pictures of our three midland counties -
and always welcomes new pictures!
…. and www.google.co.uk for other interesting websites featuring our local
churches and monuments eg putting "Southwell Minster" or "Derby Cathedral"
into Google gives good results.
