I will be running a Photoshop and Publisher course
in the next few weeks ... there are more details
about this in the photography section in this
website. I thought I'd give you a preview of some
of the photos I'll be working on.
The sea view -- I took this photo deliberately at
an odd angle, by the way. I'll show you how to
level the horizon.
The wedding photos -- sometimes, something
appears on your photo unintentionally, such as a
flagpole sticking out of the bride's head. I'll show
you how to remove this and other clutter, and
how to produce the black and white image, (which
I'll use to make a CD cover in Publisher).

Some of you will have old photos that you'd like

to touch up. The photo of my dad was taken in
about 1940, and is quite badly scratched and
stained - the flaws can be removed quite easily.
I use a camera to create a digital image, which I
can then alter in Photoshop and have re-printed.
I used various Photoshop techniques to make the

tulip photo - I'll show you how to change the
background colour and how to blur the leaves.

If there's time at the end of the last session, I'll
show you how to make the montage in the last
image (from just one photo).

I'll be running a similar course in Jaunuary, for

those of you who would like to come then.
Bye for now,
John H.
