USING PICASA 3.8

I've written a short article on how to use Picasa on this website …

http://jwebdesigns.angelfire.com/flickr.htm

The latest version of Picasa is Picasa 3.8,
which you can download from here … http://picasa.google.com/

There is a version for Apple Mac users … http://picasa.google.com/mac/

On the Picasa homepage, you will see the download button and an
excellent introductory YouTube video …

To those of you who are new to YouTube videos, just below the screen are
a Play / Pause button and a volume control, and then on the right hand side,
you will see an icon with 4 arrows on it ...click on this to see a full screen version. To escape the latter, press the Esc (escape) key on your keyboard.

Tip: use the Pause button from time to time, to slow down this presentation. :)

To save your work, after making any alteration to a photo, click on
File > Save As, and save the work with a slightly different title such as IMG_2348a.jpg, where you add a letter “a” or something similar, so you don't
save it over your original photo.

It's a good idea to create back-up copies of your original photos, so you
don't lose them accidentally.

To create a collage for your Desktop, have a look at the Help section
in Picasa. There's lots of useful info on how to create a web album too.
