USING PICASA 3

Here is the link to Picasa 3, if you'd like to download it.

http://picasa.google.com/

As Brian Morgan and I said at today's meeting, Picasa is
brilliant at sorting out where all your photos are on your
computer ... it sorts them into folders, in date order, with
thumbnail views of all your pics. It's also wonderful for
doing some basic editing to your photos, such as correcting
red eye and wonky horizons and verticals. The new collage
facility is great too.

All of this is FREE to use, thanks to Google.

Google has made a 5 minute video about all this, which I think
is well worth watching two or three times, as there's a lot of
info packed into it. (Click on the small TV screen at the
bottom, to see a full-screen view, and to escape this, press the
Esc key on your keyboard).

Next time, we'll have a Q&A session, and if there's time, I'll
show you how to use Google's new Street-View, with a look around
some of the roads in Nottingham. Please will you let me know
about topics you'd like to have discussed at future Computer
Club sessions, (preferably by email to my new ymail address)?
