Ordnance survey maps on Multimap
Some of you may know that you used to be able to view
Ordnance survey maps on the old version of Multimap,
before they brought out the new one. Well I've recently
found out that you can still view these.
Go to http://www.multimap.com
This link should bring you to the new version.
Now click on the link to the old site, which is
just under the Multimap heading at the top of the web
page.
Have a go at putting in the postcode for Ilam Hall
Youth Hostel in Derbyshire ... DE62AZ, and press "Find"
alongside.
Select the 1 in 25,000 view, and this view (click) should
come up. There's a lovely short walk across the fields from
Ilam to Dovedale (and a little tea shop and loo there, which
are just by the car park marked as a blue "P" icon on this map).
Car parking at Ilam Hall is free for National Trust members.
